Investigators went back to the neighborhood Friday to ask people if they saw Santiago or knew anything. Kenny says the couple was hanging out at his house before they disappeared.
Santiago’s wife told investigators that the suspects forced them into the truck at gunpoint.
“She was over here last night with the police she told me she wasn’t coming back over here because she was scared for her life,” Kenny said.
Memphis Police confirm Santiago’s wife was assaulted by one of the suspects and she was able to escape.
Police sent a BOLO for a white Chevy Pickup truck with a camper on the back. The truck has a TN tag of 3A93B3. People who live in the neighborhood hope Santiago is safe.
“It’s scary because we don’t know where he might be. I’ve never seen the person before over here,” Jaquana Benley.
Santiago’s friend is hoping nothing bad happened to him.
“I hope not. I hope not because he was a good person,” Kenny said.
