MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Memphis and Shelby County CrimeStoppers and the Memphis Police Department held a news conference at Tuesday regarding the murder of local businessman Glenn Cofield.
This comes after CrimeStoppers Executive Director Buddy Chapman says a total of $26,000 in reward money is now being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
Cofield was leaving a Midtown charity event with his wife Friday night when police say he was shot in an attempted robbery.
“As is true in virtually every crime, someone knows something about this homicide. We just need the person or persons to come forward,” Chapman said.
Chapman says special arrangements are made for the payoff of awards so that the person who provides helpful information leading to an arrest can remain anonymous.
The tips line at CrimeStoppers is 901-528-CASH, or 901-528-2274.
