The National Civil Rights Museum is gearing up for MLK’s 90th birthday celebration happening this Monday.
Thanks to a sponsorship from FedEx, visitors to the museum will be able to attend free of charge with the donation of a canned good that will go to the Memphis Food Bank.
If you’re in the giving mood, Vitalant will also be on hand for you to donate blood which will net you a family pass of four for the day as well as a family of four pass to be used in the future as well.
In addition, there will be several live performances by local area school choirs and a number of activity tents set up featuring fitness and cooking demonstrations.
The museum will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday. Also important to note, the visitor’s parking lot will be closed from Thursday through Tuesday, so you’ll want to arrive early to find parking.
