Local leaders are hoping to convince companies to invest in Crittenden County with a new megasite.
The 1500-acre site near I-40 in West Memphis has just been certified as a “select site.” That means the land is shovel-ready for any company looking to build a new industrial facility in the area.
Authorities say the site makes the Mid-South more competitive in luring new businesses to the area, and with it, new jobs.
“We want to stay in the hunt. We want to stay in contention for those large projects, and we can satisfy any due diligence requirements that any prospective company would need,” says Danny Games, Director of Business and Economic Development, Entergy Arkansas.
The megasite is a joint venture by the cities of West Memphis and Marion, as well as Crittenden County.
