MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) - A Memphis woman is behind bars, accused of choking her 2-year-old son.
According to the affidavit, police were called to the home in the 1300 block of Faxon Avenue Thursday. Police say Tanisha Bradford’s live-in boyfriend, and father to the little boy, told them he was sitting on a couch, when Bradford began to choke the child. Police say he was able to get the baby boy away from her. He told police Bradford then grabbed a knife and threatened to kill him and herself. He said she then began hitting herself in the face.
Bradford was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. She is in jail with $25,000 bond She is due to appear in court Friday.
