Memphis Police are looking for a man who shot a woman in Raleigh Wednesday night.

Police were called to Covington Pike and Stage around 11:15 p.m. on a shooting.

A 23-year-old woman told officers that when she arrived home in the 2100 block of E. Rivertrace, she was approached by a man didn’t ask for anything, he just pointed a gun at her, firing a shot.  The victim grabbed her gun and fired a shot back at the suspect.

Not realizing, at first, she had been shot, she got back into her car and started driving toward her sister’s house.  While on the phone with her sister, she realized she had been shot.  She stopped at Covington Pike and Stage where another person called 911 for her.

She was taken to Regional One where she’s listed in critical condition.

The suspect left the scene in an older model 4 door vehicle.

This is an ongoing investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH.
