BARTLETT, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – The man accused of leaving threatening letters at two Bartlett churches is now in police custody.

Authorities say threatening notes were left earlier this week at Christ Church and New Hope Christian Church, both on yale road. As a precaution, both churches and a preschool were closed Tuesday.

Police aren’t giving the name of the suspect, only saying he was taken into custody in Oklahoma. Police say his family told them he has a variety of mental health issues.
