MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – UPDATED: Memphis Police are investigating another shooting that ended up backing up traffic along a Mid-South interstate.

It happened Wednesday afternoon. Police say a man was shot while driving on Prescott and Lamar, and got onto I-240 at Lamar because he saw an MPD cruiser and needed help. Police say it may be a case of road rage.

The man told investigators he was shot at by a heavyset man in a green 2000s model 4-door sedan.

Police and the victim pulled over along westbound I-240, just east of Millbranch. The victim was taken to Regional One in non-critical condition.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.
