The Nashville Zoo announced the birth of three baby meerkats at their facility in July.
The new pups were born on July 11, 2018 to their parents Calvin, 12, and Victoria, 10.
According to wildlife managers at the zoo, the mother will spend a lot of time nursing the pups in their tunnel, while taking time to occasionally gather food or water.
This is the second litter of pups for Calvin and Victoria.
In the wild, the Nashville Zoo says meerkats are listed as a “species of least concern” by the IUCM Red List.
They live in southern Africa and occupy several protected areas.
