NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The NFL Draft is quickly approaching, and last minute preparations are underway.

Organizers with the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation say they are prepared for the influx of NFL fans.

“Venues are rented out out and bars and restaurants have reservations,” said NCVC President Butch Spyridon.

“We’re not completely full, hotel-wise, we’ve got a few more rooms, but we’re virtually full as a city. There are 31,000 rooms and another 5,000 AirBNB’s.”

The visitors group says the production is bigger than anything the city has done before, comparing it to the Fourth of July or CMA Fest.

“We have capacity for a lot of people, and we’re known for throwing a good party and having a good time,” said Spyridon.

Organizes say they believe most Nashvillians are excited about the draft, despite some criticism.

“If you don’t like it, you have the opportunity to stay home,” said Spyridon.

Organizers say they are ready for virtually anything, including WiFi and a backup generator in the case of a storm.
