The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception warns about scam emails

News

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is warning people about scam emails using the Cathedral pastor’s name.

The following email was sent warning of the scam.

We have become aware of scam emails appearing to be from Cathedral pastor Fr. Robert Marshall requesting that individuals purchase gift cards. The emails often begin with “Are you available?”

You can immediately identify the scam emails by the email addresses from which they are sent. Legitimate emails from Fr. Marshall as well as Cathedral staff will always be first.lastname@ic.cdom.org. If an email looks to be from Fr. Marshall and is from an address other than robert.marshall@ic.cdom.org, please delete and do not open it.
