One driver was killed in a bizarre crash involving a deer that hit two cars.
The crash happened around 6:45 a.m. on Yellow Creek Road (Hwy.46) near Maysville Road in Dickson County.
Investigators say a deer ran onto the road and was hit by the first car. The collision sent the deer airborne and into the opposite lane, hitting an oncoming car. The animal went through the windshield of the second car and slammed into the driver.
The second driver was killed. The Tennessee Highway Patrol has identified him as Charles D. Brink, 58.
The other driver was not injured.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
The road was closed for about 90 minutes while investigators cleared the crash scene.
