The Hilton Hotel in East Memphis will be bustling with sci-fi and fantasy fans this weekend as MidSouthCon returns for its 37th year.
Kicking off at 2pm on Friday, this year’s convention is offering over 200 hours of programming.
But it’s not all about fun and games. MidSouthCon Co-Chairman Danny Chamberlin says the convention operates as 501-3(c) charity, and a portion of the proceeds goes to Memphis-based non-profit Mid-South Literacy.
“One of our main goals is to raise money to literary related charities. We believe literacy is the foundation to a healthy community,” Chamberlin said.
The convention began at 2 pm March 15th, and runs through Sunday, March 17 at 4 pm.
