Former Arkansas defensive tackle Armon Watts is now a member of the Minnesota Vikings being selected with the 190th pick in the 6th round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Watts played sparingly in his first four seasons at Arkansas. But in his final season as a Razorback he shined at defensive tackle with 42 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 7 sacks and 3 forced fumbles.
The St. Louis, Missouri native earned praises for his play after collecting only 14 tackles in 17 games before his senior season.
Watts’ performance in the 2018 season earned him an invite to the NFL Combine. He also performed well at the Arkansas Pro Day both of which were encouraging backing up his play on the field.
Watts is the first Razorbacks defensive tackle selected in the NFL Draft since Darius Philon (6th Round in the 2015 NFL Draft).
