Postseason ban lifted for two Memphis high school basketball teams

High School Sports

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Boys high school basketball doesn’t start until next week, but Westwood and Fairley each got a key win this week. The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) removed both teams from probation.

They were punished for a post-game fight in January. It began as the teams were shaking hands and ended with fans rushing the floor. The two-year postseason ban was lifted because the schools showed there has been positive change.
