Thieves break into cars near Southwest Community College

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com)- Memphis Police are warning people to keep a close eye on their cars in the Medical District.

Saturday night, two vehicles were broken into near the corner of Beale Street and Myrtle Avenue.  

One victim had her purse and phone accessories stolen.  The other had his windows smashed and items taken out of the bed of his truck.

Officers say the theft was caught on surveillance video from nearby Southwest Tennessee Community College.
