MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Rain could be heavy at times with what’s left of Barry. A Flash Flood Watch is still in effect until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.
There is also a Marginal Risk of severe weather again Tuesday. Barry could drop another inch of rain before it leaves the area.
Barry should leave us with a running total of 3 inches of rain in Shelby County since Sunday. Monday, the National Weather Service reported 1.56 inches of rain as a one-day total.
So far, we are 14 inches of rain above normal. Normal is about 30 inches of rain for this time of year. We are currently at 40 plus inches in the buckets here in Shelby County.
Barry should finally exit Wednesday morning and afternoon.
