CHIEF METEOROLOGIST JOHN BRYANT:
Here is a look at our forecast. There is no break in sight from the heat and humidity. Similar to last night evening storms will be possible mainly before 9 p.m. A few storms could contain brief gusty winds or small hail. Muggy overnight lows in the middle 70s are likely. More of the same is expected to continue on the Fourth with widely scattered showers and storms as highs easily hit 90 and the heat index flirts with 100 in the afternoon. Looking ahead to the weekend there does not appear to be any heat relief other than the scattered showers that will develop each afternoon.
