MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Storm chances are moving out for the holiday weekend, but the heat and humidity aren’t going anywhere.
A few storms will be possible Friday evening, especially before sunset. Skies become partly cloudy overnight with temps in Memphis around 80 by 10:00pm. Saturday morning lows will be in the low 70s areawide.
A few isolated afternoon storms will be possible Saturday, but for many of us, it will just be a hot and humid start to the weekend. Highs will be around 90 with feel like temps in the upper 90s to around 100. Storm chances go away by evening, meaning no major weather issues are expected for the kickoff of the Memphis Tigers football season at the Liberty Bowl Saturday night.
Sunday and Monday will see a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the low 90s and feel like temps around 100. Overnight lows will be in the low to mid 70s. Our weather pattern won’t change much for the shortened work week.
