MEMPHIS, Tenn (localmemphis.com) – The weather isn’t looking ideal for the start of the work week.
Skies will be mostly cloudy Sunday night with temps in Memphis in the low 40s around 7:00pm and closer to 40 by 10:00pm. Showers will be possible after midnight, especially across northern Mississippi. Monday morning lows will be in the mid to upper 30s areawide.
Rain, heavy at time, will be likely throughout the day Monday. This will keep temps in check as highs are only expected to warm into the mid 40s. Rain will begin to become more scattered Monday evening with a slight chance for a wintry mix overnight Monday as lows fall close to freezing by Tuesday morning. The good news is no accumulating winter weather is expected at this time.
We could see some isolated winter mix early Tuesday morning will clearing skies into the afternoon. Tuesday will be the cold day of the forecast with highs in the upper 30s. Lows Tuesday night will plunge into the mid 20s.
Highs warm into the low 40s for Wednesday with another chance for some sort of winter mix overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning. Just like with Monday night, this isn’t expected to amount to much. Temps Thursday morning will be around 30 with highs in the mid 40s for Thursday.
Temps warm into the 50s for Friday and the start of next weekend as dry skies return to the Mid-South.
