MEMPHIS WEATHER – A few showers will be possible across the mid-south Sunday evening with likely rain overnight. A few scattered storms will also be possible as we get closer to daybreak. Temps in Memphis will be around 60 at 7:00pm before falling into the mid 50s around 10:00pm. Overnight lows will be in the upper 40s to around 50 areawide.

Scattered showers and storms will be likely throughout the day Monday. Rain chances are expected to be higher in the morning before turning more widely scattered for the afternoon. No severe weather is expected at this time. Monday’s highs will be in the low to mid 60s, depending on how much rain we see. Skies dry out by late Monday evening with overnight lows in the low 40s.

The rest of the work week looks dry, but much cooler. Tuesday will be sunny and breezy with highs in the low 60s and overnight lows in the mid 30s. Wednesday and Thursday will be much colder with highs in the upper 40s to around 50 and overnight lows in the low to mid 30s. Temps rebound Friday with highs closer to 60. Our next round of showers and storms will move in next weekend.

We’re also keeping on eye on flooding along the Mississippi River. At this point, it does not look like Monday’s rain will cause area flooding to worsen. Below you can find the latest forecast information for several cities along the Mississippi River:
