Watch the moment of the total solar eclipse from Central Arkansas

ABC24 crews were in Newport, Arkansas to catch the moment of totality during the eclipse.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A total solar eclipse is coming Monday, and ABC24 will be right in the path of the moon's shadow as we bring you live coverage of this once-in-a-lifetime event.

ABC24 will be live from Newport, Arkansas, right in the path of totality, only on 24+, our free streaming app for Roku, Amazon FireTV and Apple TV, starting at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 8.

Newport will experience 100% coverage of the sun during the eclipse at 1:54 p.m. Monday, and we'll be there to catch totality with them.

We will also be live from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, as their students and staff host a watch party to view 98% of the sun covered by the moon at 1:55 p.m. on April 8.
