Bellevue Baptist Church prepares for 44th annual Singing Christmas Tree

44th annual holiday tradition – the Singing Christmas Tree at Bellevue Baptist Church.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – Local 24 News got a preview Wednesday of the 44th annualholiday tradition – the Singing Christmas Tree at Bellevue Baptist Church.

There are around 1300 people who are helping bring this showto life.

Organizers say that the show is set up the same way as itwas 44 years ago with the tree. But over the years, more technology has been broughtin to help add more to the traditional story of Christmas.

“You will be entertained withbeautiful Christmas music, smiling teenagers that are having a good time, butyou will discover the real reason of Christmas. You’ll discover that JesusChrist is why we’re here, so it’s a great way to tell the community about whatthey need in a lost and dying world,” said Mark Alexander, production designerfor the Singing Christmas Tree.

The Singing Christmas Tree willstart Sunday with a show at 3:00 p.m. and another at 7:00 p.m.

Shows will happen each nightthrough Sunday, December 15th, except for a show Thursday.
