It’s become a holiday tradition of its own: shopping on Thanksgiving. All across the Mid-South, families hit the stores, hungry for those door-buster deals ahead of Black Friday.
Local 24 News was at Best Buy as the doors opened Thursday evening. Also open today, Tanger Outlets Southaven, which kicked off holiday shopping with “moonlight madness.”
With Thanksgiving falling almost a week later in November this year, stores are offering even bigger sales out of the gate. Shoppers say starting early is becoming a family tradition.
“I much prefer it being on Thanksgiving because we just come right after eating anyways. We don’t really care about staying home and hanging out with family. We’d rather come out and spend the whole entire night shopping with family.”
The deals aren’t over yet. Tanger Outlets will be open all night Thursday and won’t close until ten Friday night.
