Carjacking victim speaks out after deadly shooting spree that led to citywide manhunt Sunday

“It left me with nothing,” Domonique Coleman told ABC24’s Jay Shakur. “I don’t have anything right now."

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The victim of the carjacking during the crime spree last weekend spoke out for the first time.

In an ABC24 exclusive, Domonique Coleman said she’s been without transportation after getting her car stolen Sunday. It has cost her employment, and now after coming face-to-face with Courdarion Craft and learning about his record, she’s wondering why he was let out in the first place.

“At this point, it left me with nothing,” Domonique Coleman said. “I don’t have anything right now. I lost my job this morning because I didn’t have transportation to get back and forth to work.”

Coleman said she was carjacked Sunday in Whitehaven when she arrived at her church on East Shelby Dr.

“He put the gun to my window, and he said he was going to try to kill me and my kids if I called the police,” Coleman said. “Next thing I know, he burst my driver’s window out, and my son jumped out the back of the car, and he ran inside the church to get help and that’s when he put the gun to my head and demanded me give him my car.”

Coleman doesn't have a car as it is still in the possession of investigators, and she does not know when she will get it back.
