The grandson of "Welcome to Sweetie Pie's" star Miss Robbie was shot and killed in North St. Louis Monday night.

St. Louis Metropolitan Police said they responded to a shooting call at the 3900 block of Natural Bridge Road at around 8 p.m. When police arrived, they found 21-year-old Andre Montgomery unconscious and suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

After investigation, police said an unknown suspect shot Montgomery inside the home.

A second man, who was armed, heard gunshots in the house and headed for the home to help. A third man saw him approaching the house with a gun and — fearing for his own safety — shot at the second man, hitting him in the arm and chest.

The second man was taken to the hospital where he is in critical/stable condition.

"Welcome to Sweetie Pie's" airs on the Oprah Winfrey Network and centers around soul food restaurant Sweetie Pie's on the 3600 block of Delmar Boulevard. The network tweeted condolences to the Sweetie Pie's family.

The investigation is ongoing and this story will be updated when more information becomes available.
