MUNFORD, Tenn. — A Tipton County, Tennessee, school had to evacuate Thursday after they said one of their students threatened to blow up the campus.

Munford Middle School said they received a call about a potential bomb threat Thursday morning. Out of caution, the school was evacuated and Munford Police Department along with Tipton County Schools personnel were notified.

Law enforcement and school officials identified the caller as a Munford Middle student who has been removed from campus.

The school said the building is secure, and students have returned to class to continue their daily schedules.

"We appreciate the support of our families and will continue to work diligently to maintain a safe learning environment for our students and staff," The school said in a statement.

We've reached out to Munford and Tipton County authorities to see if any charges are coming for the student.
