MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police in Oakland, Tennessee, are warning people to be on the lookout for a robbery suspect they said should be considered “armed and dangerous.”

Investigators said Devonta L. Ivy is wanted in connection with a robbery which happened about 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, at the Exxon on Highway 64 at Old Highway 196. Police said the gas station was robbed at gunpoint, and another suspect was taken into custody shortly after. Police later said that suspect has been charged.

Investigators said Ivy is wanted in the robbery and was last seen wearing black jeans with a black hoodie with yellow stripes, and a white and black bandana. They said he was last seen walking eastbound on Donnelson Rd. from Highway 196 and then again on Feathers Chapel.

Police said he is considered “armed and dangerous” and should not be approached. If you see if, they ask you to call 911 immediately.

A Facebook post from Oakland PD said, "Please understand we can not release a lot of information at this point as this is an ongoing investigation. I would like to point out our officers responded so quickly we were able to detain one suspect with in a few minutes and identify the other in less than 45 minutes. I need to give praise to Officers Ford, Hill, Craig, Carpenter, Murrell, and Throneberry for their hard work and determination. We would also like to thank all of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department Deputies who assisted in the search. All of you have done an excellent job.

One of our officers was headed into work and was able to be on the scene quicker than the others as he was already in his take home car coming into this part of town."

UPDATE: As of right now we have charged the first individual and are in the process of locating Mr. Ivy. Please...
