MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police said a pedestrian is dead and another is injured after a two-vehicle crash near Old Hickory Hills.
MPD officers responded to the scene about 6:30 p.m., May 9, 2024, at Winchester Road and Elvis Presley Boulevard. They said one pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said another person was taken to Methodist South.
Originally saying this was a hit-and-run, MPD issued a correction the following day, stating the incident was actually a two-vehicle crash that left the pedestrian dead, and both vehicles stayed at the scene.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
