Man injured in Friday morning shooting not far from FedExForum

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are investigating after a man was shot Friday morning, not far from FedExForum in downtown.

MPD officers responded to the shooting just after 8:45 a.m. March 22, 2024, in the 200 block of Turley St. near Dr. MLK Jr. Ave. and Robert Church Park. They said one man was taken to Regional One Hospital in non-critical condition.

Investigators have not said what led to the shooting, but they did say the victim knows the suspected shooter and it was domestic in nature.
