MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is critically injured after a shooting happened on Memorial Day morning in South Memphis near I-55.
The Memphis Police Department responded to the shooting May 27, 2024, around 5:15 a.m. in the 2500 block of South 3rd Street. There, officers found a man with an apparent gunshot wound.
Police said he was taken to Regional One Health in critical condition.
When an ABC24 photographer arrived at the scene, he saw a person get pulled out of a car and loaded into an ambulance. He also saw a large bullet hole in the car's back window.
This is an ongoing investigation.
