SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. — Two people were found dead inside a vehicle at a car wash Thursday morning in southeast Shelby County, and authorities are now investigating the incident as a homicide.
The Shelby County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) said detectives were investigating the discovery around 4:20 a.m. in the 7900 block of Lowrance Road, where patrol deputies found a man and woman dead while conducting a welfare check.
Later that morning, SCSO released an update, saying both people had gunshot wounds, and the case is now an ongoing homicide investigation.
