Baby, 2 adults injured after crash in southeast Shelby County

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A 6-month-old baby and two others were injured Wednesday night after a two-vehicle crash happened in southeast Shelby County.

Investigators with the Shelby County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) were at the scene of the incident May 22, 2024, around 9 p.m. at East Shelby Drive and Hacks Cross Road. Two people were taken to Regional One Health, a man in critical condition and a woman in non-critical condition. 

SCSO said a 6-month-old baby was also hurt and taken to Baptist Children's Hospital in non-critical condition. 

The crash had temporarily shut down Hacks Cross Road in both directions in the area. Deputies are investigating the accident.
