15-year-old boy killed, 7 others injured after driver ran stop sign in Frayser

Memphis Police responded to the crash on Ridgemont Avenue just before 7:15 p.m. Wednesday.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police have confirmed a 15-year-old was killed and seven others were injured after a two-car crash in Frayser Wednesday evening.

MPD said officers responded to a two-car crash in the 3300 block of Ridgemont Ave. about 7:15 p.m. Nov. 22, 2023, in Frayser. 

A 15-year-old boy was dead at the scene, and three other boys in that car, ages 16, 11, and 13, were taken to the hospital in critical condition. Investigators said the driver of that car ran a stop sign, causing the crash.

Police said a 21-year-old man, a 41-year-old woman, and a 17-year-old girl and 10-month-old girl in the second car were all taken to the hospital in non critical condition.
