We now know the name of a store employee that was kidnapped and killed at the end of her shift Sunday night.
Jonesboro police have identified her as 45-year-old Loretta Ann Pixler.
It happened around 9:30 p.m. at a Dollar General in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
According to investigators, a man approached two workers as they were leaving the store and demanded money. The suspect took a phone from one of the employees and forced Pixler into her car and told her to drive.
Police were searching for the car when they were called to a pedestrian accident nearby. That’s where they found Pixler dead.
A short time later they found her car in a ditch on Highway 14. Police say her kidnapper had already run away.
