Four people are dead after a plane headed to Memphis crashed in Atlanta Thursday afternoon.
One of those confirmed dead is pilot and Memphis business owner Wei Chen.
The Cessna Citation V jet left Runway 8 at Fulton County Airport and went down at 12:10 PM, local time, about 1.5 miles east of the airport, according to an FAA spokesperson.
The plane crashed at English Park according to a tweet from the Atlanta Fire Department.
The plane was a Memphis-based corporate jet.

“The University of Memphis is deeply saddened by the tragic death of Wei Chen, a University of Memphis alum and supporter who served on several University boards in the Alumni Association National Executive Board of Directors.
