Memphis police are searching for the robbers who broke into a local jewelry store Saturday and stole several Rolex watches.
Police said the incident happened in the 400 block of South Grove Park. An employee told authorities that four men entered the business and smashed displays with hammers and took several Rolex watches.
Officers said no one was injured.
The suspects were described as four black men, one who was wearing a yellow safety construction vest.
Police said they were seen occupying a white sedan, possibly an Acura, and a black Chevrolet two-door pick up.
The store released this statement Monday:
An incident occurred in our Memphis, Tennessee location on Saturday, Aug. 27 at approximately 2 p.m. in which four male suspects broke into our store in the Laurelwood Shopping Center and stole several Rolex watches. There were no injuries to team members or customers, and the police were notified and responded immediately.
The safety of our customers and team members is our top priority, and we are fully cooperating with the Memphis Police Department to apprehend the suspects. We have shared our surveillance footage and they have posted it on their Facebook page, encouraging anyone with information concerning the theft to call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-2274.
