Three dead after fire in Leapwood, Tennessee, McNairy County sheriff says

Three people have died after a residential fire in Leapwood, Tennessee, according to authorities in McNairy County.

McNairy County Sheriff Guy Buck confirmed that three deaths were related to the fire and that the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI)'s Bomb and Arson division were assisting the investigation. Buck said the TBI was contacted per policy.

The TBI said that the fire took place on Thursday night in the 5300 block of Leapwood Enville Lane in Adamsville. 

Buck said that McNairy County police are withholding the release of the names until the medical examiner is able to confirm IDs.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation, according to the TBI.
