Rain did not stop people from coming out to the Rock the Block neighborhood block party on Saturday.
The Hickory Hill event, hosted by Pentecostal Church, offered free food, live music, and giveaways.
“You know, we wanted to get out of the four walls of our church and just get into the community, this neighborhood, and just let everybody know that we love you. And we wanted you to see who we are and just have a chance to give back to our community and have a chance to bring everybody together. We need to be together,” said Pentecostal Church Pastor Bill Parkey.
Children enjoyed fun inflatables, bounce houses, and face painting.
