The race for Mississippi governor has just heated up.

President Donald Trump will be in Tupelo November 1 to campaign for Republican candidate Tate Reeves, according to reports.

That visit is four days before the election between Reeves and Democrat Jim Hood. The President has endorsed Reeves for governor, including tweeting his support.

The Daily Journal reports that the Tupelo Police Department, Tupelo Fire Department, and the Tupelo Regional Airport have been in communication with the Trump campaign and U.S. Secret Service.

Trump visited Mississippi for a rally in Southaven in October of 2018 and in Tupelo and Biloxi in November of 2018. Both were for rallies to support Republican Cindy Hyde-Smith in her Senate campaign.
