HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. (localmemphis.com)- More than 15 small businesses gathered in Holly Springs for the 2nd annual Minority Business Expo.

Duvalier Malone Enterprises LLC partnered with North Mississippi Community Research Training and Development to host the expo, which focused on economic success and community empowerment.

The expo’s special guest was Mr. Johnny Dupree, who was the first African-American majority party nominee for Governor of Mississippi since the reconstruction area.

Attendees had the opportunity to meet with black business owners, learn more, and even purchase fantastic items.

Organizers hope to attract more businesses from across the state for next year.
