MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck near East Memphis.
MPD said officers responded to the call about 9:20 a.m. Friday, Nov. 24, 2023, in the 4000 block of New Willow Rd., not far from Getwell. They found a person had been hit. The victim was taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.
Investigators said the driver remained on the scene.
This happened not far from the scene of a shooting about an hour later on Willow Cove. Memphis Police told ABC24 the two incidents are not related.
Police are asking people to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
