Expungement Clinic and Career Fair helps provide second chances to Memphians

Agape Child & Family Services teamed up with Dwelling Place Christian Church to hold an Expungement and Career Fair on Friday, May 3.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — People looking to remove crimes off their record and find a job were able to take care of both Friday at the same place in Raleigh.

Agape Child & Family Services teamed up with Dwelling Place Christian Church to hold an Expungement and Career Fair for a one-stop approach on May 3, 2024.

Expungement allows for certain crimes to be removed from a person's records. Not every crime qualifies. Learn more about expungement in Shelby County HERE.

"Agape sees potential in everyone, and we understand everyone doesn't have the same opportunities," said David Jordan, President and CEO of Agape Child & Family Services, in a press release. "That's why this event is so important. It's providing opportunities to under-resourced populations in our city."

The event was held at the church at 3034 Old Austin Peay Highway.
