Inless than 24 hours, the story has reached more than 30,000 people. Many ofthose people are now offering to help.

Thevideo of Terry and his cousins uploaded to social media on July 4th,2017, has inspired song parodies and t-shirts.

“Alot of people thought it was set up. It wasn’t set up,” Draco Wooten,Terry’s cousin.

“WhenI lit it, I couldn’t move at all,” said Terry.

Terry’smother, Annette Carter, says what you see is real and the cost a new chair is steep,at more than $28,000.

“Thegentleman that brought the chair showed us the invoice,” said Carter.“I said that’s a car.”

Terrylives in a small home with his grandmother in South Memphis and there have beenoffers for chairs in the past, but they’ve been too big for Terry to maneuver aroundthe house.

“Hehas to be fit in, in order to come through the doors and get around corners, soit’s a custom chair,” said Carter.
