The 2018 Shelby County Mayor’s race has officially begun.
Shelby County Commission Chairman Terry Roland announced he will be running Sunday morning at his campaign kick-off event.
It was held at the Old Timers restaurant in Millington.
Roland said a wide variety of people from all over Memphis wanted him to run for mayor.
“We’re gonna bring unity, we’re gonna bring the suburbs and Memphis together because you know our competition is around our borders and we can aspire to be number one again we’ll rival Nashville again I promise you,” Roland said.
