Three people were hospitalized after a truck plowed into a Whitehaven home late Thursday morning. It happened in the 1900 block of Danberry, off of Shelby Drive.
A man said his mother backed out of a driveway, when a gas pedal got stuck. The pickup skidded over a few yards before ramming into a neighbor’s living room.
We’re told the car hit that neighbor while he was watching TV, breaking his leg. All three people are expected to be okay.
“It’s kind of crazy but you know it could have been so much more worse than it was, I mean imagine if she was coming up in reverse, she could have cars coming either way, children walking, people, pedestrians,” says neighbor Kevin Carter.
We’re told both homeowners spent the afternoon assessing the damage with insurance agents.
