CORDOVA, Tenn. (localmemphis.com)- UPDATE 1/6/2020 – Two more men have been charged in connection with a deadly shooting in Cordova this weekend.

20-year-old Jaylin Edwards and 18-year-old Tyrek Edwards arecharged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and possession of a firearmduring commission of a dangerous felony.

Previously, 18-year-old Chauncy Black and 20-year-old Timothy Black werecharged with reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon and tampering with/fabricatingevidence.

KalebWakefield was shot about 8:00 p.m. Saturday outside a home in the 6900 block ofLagrange Circle South in Cordova. He died at the hospital.

Duringquestioning, police said the Blacks told investigators a group showed up aftera previous dispute at a home next door to the victim. According to theaffidavit, the Blacks told investigators one of the people in the group pulledout a gun and fired shots at the home. Police said the Blacks admitted to goingback inside and grabbing guns, then firing at the other group as they droveoff.

Police saythose outside identified Jaylin Edwards as the first shooter, and said they alsosaw Tyrek Edwards with a gun.

According to the affidavit, the Edwards admitted to going to the home in regards to a dispute. Police said Jaylin Edwards admitted to firing a shot in the air and a shot in the ground. They say Tyrek Edwards admitted to waving a gun around, but said he did not fire it.

1/5/2020 – Two men have been arrested after police say they shot and killed a man in Cordova.

The shooting happened in the 6900 block of Lagrange Circle Saturday night.

Investigators  identified the victim as 26-year-old Kaleb Wakefield of Cordova.

The Shelby County Sheriff Office has arrested and charged 18-year-old Chauncy Black and 20-year-old Timothy Black with reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon and tampering with fabricating evidence.

Both are expected in court Monday morning at 9:00 a.m.
