Opinion | The time has come to face the facts | Richard Ransom

Local 24 News Anchor Richard Ransom discusses in his Ransom Note that it is time for local Congressmen and Governors to face the truth: Biden is the President Elect.

MEMPHIS, Tenn — In tonight’s Ransom Note: it’s time.

Time for Mid-South Congressmen and Governors to stop playing word games and go ahead and say Joe Biden is the President Elect.

In a live interview last week, Senator Marsha Blackburn actually did say that. She even added Kamala Harris was Vice President Elect.

But within hours, she had her staff say she misspoke.

Governor Bill Lee was asked today if Biden was President Elect, but he declined to answer saying “When the process is complete, I think that’ll be the time.”

Governor, the process is complete.

80 million votes, six million more that the incumbent, three dozen lawsuits laughed out of the courtroom, every conspiracy theory debunked, in some states we’re now in our third recount, and STILL no evidence of widespread fraud.

Only Senator Lamar Alexander has come closest to doing what’s right for our national security in the midst of a pandemic, food lines and small businesses shutting down.

Yesterday, he said Biden was “very likely” to be the next President.

That’s not quite what I was hoping for, but at this point, we’ll take what we can get.
