Memphis 901 FC fall 2-1 to Loudoun United

Memphis 901 FC ended their scoring drought but have lost their last four straight.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis 901 FC dropped their fourth straight on Saturday when they lost 2-1 to Loudoun United at Segra Field. 

Samuel Careaga opened the scoring in the 14th minute with a pure strike on a free kick. It ended a 28-day scoring drought for Memphis and gave them an early 1-0 lead. 

The lone goal came off the back of a strong run from midfielder Zac Duncan who was brought down just outside the box and drew a foul. 

Loudoun scored two unanswered goals in the 42nd and 69th minute and 901 FC couldn't find an equalizer. 

Memphis return to Autozone Park for two matches in four days. It all starts with the clubs first ever home U.S. Open Cup match against Miami United FC on Wednesday, April 17 at 6:30 p.m. CT before another USL Championship match against Monterey Bay FC on Saturday, April 20.
