Memphis falls to Orange County for third straight loss

Two goals in the span of two minutes by Orange County SC were too much for Memphis 901 FC to overcome.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis 901 FC were looking to get back in the win column on Saturday when they hosted the top team in the West in Orange County SC, but instead they lost 2-0.

The game was scoreless until the 61st minute, when Brian Iloski netted one in the back of the net, and just two minutes later, Thomas Amang slotted another to put Orange County SC up 2-0. 

The Beale Street Boys couldn't find the back of the net despite having 12 shots to Orange County's five and six corners to their three. 

The loss is Memphis' third straight as they now move to 1-3-0 on the season through five weeks. 

Memphis 901 FC hit the road for an interconference game at Loudon United on Saturday, April 13 at 3 p.m. CT. Memphis will return to AutoZone Park for two matches in four days with their U.S. Open Cup match on Wednesday, April 17 and another USL Championship match against Monterey Bay FC on Saturday, April 20 at 7 p.m. CT.
